The 2024 Tesla Model 3 is built around efficiency and everyday usability, with the added advantage of over-the-air updates that can improve the car after purchase. The current average of $42,368 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,604 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be grounded in the current softer pricing environment rather than last year’s higher average. Even so, the model’s strong user rating and broad appeal among EV shoppers can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 19.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is a strong choice if you want the Model 3’s modern EV experience, software-first design, and Tesla ecosystem at a softer used price than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is still worth comparing nearby model years, but the 2024 offers a compelling balance of value and appeal.
