Verdict: Entering its second model year in Canada, the 2024 Rivian R1T offers electric vehicle shoppers several powertrain options, three sizes of battery, and a driving range spanning from 441 to 661 kilometres per charge. Dual- and quad-motor arrangements provide plenty of grunt to get this truck down the road speedily. The cabin is futuristic and airy, outward visibility is excellent, and there are adult-friendly degrees of headroom and legroom no matter where you’re seated. The only caveat is that the R1T—and its sibling the Rivian R1S sport-utility—have a hefty starting price pushing $90,000.
