Used 2024 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2024 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 14.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 646 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra a good car?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is a solid choice if you want a straightforward compact sedan that prioritises value, comfort, and easy everyday use over flash. It earns a user rating of 3.67/5 and an expert rating of 7.00/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Cost effectiveness.

Its refreshed styling gives it a more polished presence, and the cabin aims for comfort and practicality rather than gimmicks. At the same time, the back seat is cramped and the technology feels dated, so it is best suited to you if you want an honest commuter rather than a class-leading tech showcase.

The market shows 29.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra reliable?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is built around simple, mainstream mechanicals and a value-first approach, which supports its appeal as an easy-to-live-with compact sedan. The updated CVT is reengineered to improve fuel efficiency and smoother operation, and Nissan adds an engine start-stop system for 2024 to further boost efficiency.

That said, the Sentra’s long-term ownership case is strongest if you prioritise straightforward commuting over excitement or advanced tech. For used buyers, the main risk is that a budget-friendly car with mixed safety results and dated technology may feel less satisfying over time if you expect more refinement or features.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S and S Plus use 16-inch steel wheels, while the SV gets 16-inch alloy wheels and the SR trims move up to 18-inch wheels with model-specific styling. The SR Premium adds leatherette upholstery, and the SV moonroof sub-grade is another feature to watch for if you want a more upscale feel.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque, front-wheel drive, and either a six-speed manual or a CVT in Canada. The CVT was reengineered for 2024 to improve fuel efficiency and smoother operation, and the model also adds engine start-stop for 2024.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and the SR Premium offers a 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: The base model gets a 7-inch touchscreen and a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display, while SV and SR models upgrade to an 8-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch instrument cluster display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless versions are not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: Manual-transmission models are rated at 9.4 L/100 km city, 6.4 highway, and 8.0 combined, while CVT models are rated at 7.3 city, 5.8 highway, and 6.6 combined. SR trims are rated at 8.2 combined with the manual and 6.8 combined with the CVT.

Which 2024 Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is offered in 5 trim levels: S, S Plus, SV, SR, and SR Premium.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the Sentra, but it keeps the basics: steel wheels, the smaller 7-inch touchscreen, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if your priority is value over extras.
• S Plus: This trim mainly changes the manual transmission to a CVT, so it is the one to consider if you want the efficiency and smoother operation of the automatic without moving up the trim ladder.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds alloy wheels, the larger 8-inch touchscreen, the bigger instrument display, SiriusXM compatibility, extra USB connectivity, and adaptive cruise control. If you want the most balanced mix of features and price, this is the one to target.
• SR: Choose this if you want a sportier look, 18-inch wheels, and the model-specific styling touches, plus the option of a manual transmission. It suits you if appearance matters more than pure value.
• SR Premium: This is the most upscale Sentra here, adding leatherette upholstery and an available Bose audio system, along with the 360-degree camera system. It is the pick if you want the most equipment and are willing to pay for it.

The standard safety package is strong across the lineup, but adaptive cruise control is reserved for SV and SR models, while the 360-degree camera is limited to SR Premium.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 646 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,615 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $21,615 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,267 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sentra has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help demand from value-focused shoppers. For a future seller, it also means you may face more competition if the market stays soft. If you buy well now, you can reduce the risk of overpaying, but resale upside will depend on keeping the car in strong condition and choosing a desirable trim.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra safe?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra received a Good rating in the IIHS original side-impact crash test, but only an Acceptable rating in the updated version, and it also earned a Poor headlight rating. It received five-star ratings in rollover and side crash tests from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and the SR Premium offers a 360-degree camera system.

The mixed crash-test picture is the main caution here, especially the weaker IIHS headlight result and the incomplete NHTSA coverage for this model year.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.46% compared with last year.
• The 2024 refresh and efficiency updates matter to you, especially if you want the updated styling and improved fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation with better efficiency and updated styling, the 2024 is the one to focus on. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2024 gives you a strong value case when you find a well-priced example.
