Used 2024 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearLaval, QC

How much does the 2024 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 15.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 622 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra a good car?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is a solid pick if you want a compact sedan that prioritizes value, comfort, and everyday usability over excitement.

It earns a user rating of 3.67/5 and an expert rating of 7.00/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Cost effectiveness.

The Sentra’s refreshed styling gives it a more polished appearance, and its comfortable ride and strong value proposition fit well if you want a straightforward commuter. At the same time, the back seat is cramped and the technology feels behind the curve, so it is best suited to you if you care more about sensible ownership than cutting-edge features.

The Sentra’s 31.7% good-or-great deal rate suggests there are still some attractive listings in the market.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra reliable?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is positioned as a practical, value-focused compact sedan, and its updated mechanicals are aimed at improving fuel economy rather than adding complexity.

Nissan says the CVT was reengineered for smoother operation and better fuel efficiency, and the car also adds an engine start-stop system for 2024. The warranty coverage is comparable to other mainstream brands, with three years or 60,000 kilometres of basic coverage and five years or 100,000 kilometres of powertrain coverage.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you are still shopping a compact sedan with modest performance and a CVT-focused setup, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, S Plus, SV, SR, and SR Premium. The base S and S Plus use 16-inch steel wheels, while the SV gets 16-inch alloy wheels and the SR adds 18-inch wheels plus model-specific styling. The SR Premium adds leatherette upholstery, and the SV moonroof sub-grade is another feature to watch for if you want more equipment.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque, plus front-wheel drive. In Canada, the six-speed manual is offered on the S and SR grades, while the CVT was reengineered for better fuel efficiency and smoother operation.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system is offered on the SR Premium.
• Infotainment: The S gets a 7-inch touchscreen and a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display, while SV and SR models move to an 8-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch cluster display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless versions are not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: Manual-transmission models are rated at 9.4 L/100 km city, 6.4 highway, and 8.0 combined. CVT models are rated at 7.3 city, 5.8 highway, and 6.6 combined, while SR trims are rated at 8.2 combined with the manual and 6.8 combined with the CVT.

Which 2024 Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is offered in 5 trim levels: S, S Plus, SV, SR, and SR Premium.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the Sentra, but it keeps the smaller 7-inch touchscreen, 4.2-inch instrument display, steel wheels, and the most basic equipment mix.
• S Plus: This is mainly for you if you want the manual-to-CVT change without moving up the trim ladder, so it is best viewed as a transmission-focused step rather than a feature upgrade.
• SV: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds 16-inch alloy wheels, the larger 8-inch touchscreen, the 7-inch instrument display, SiriusXM compatibility, extra USB connectivity, and adaptive cruise control.
• SR: Choose this if you want the sportier look, 18-inch wheels, and the manual transmission option, while still getting the larger tech package and the added driver-assistance content.
• SR Premium: This is the one to buy if you want the most upscale Sentra experience, with leatherette upholstery and the available Bose audio system, plus the SR’s equipment set underneath.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, while adaptive cruise control is added on SV and SR models and a 360-degree camera system is offered on SR Premium.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you are comparing multiple listings.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 622 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,755 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $21,755 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,603 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sentra has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help demand stay steady in the near term. For a future seller, it also means you may need to price carefully if you want to stand out against a market that has already softened. If you buy well now, you are starting from a lower entry point than last year’s shoppers did.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra safe?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra received a Good rating in the IIHS’s original side-impact crash test, but only an Acceptable rating in the updated version, and it also received a Poor headlight rating.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, while a 360-degree camera system is offered on the SR Premium.

The mixed crash-test results and weak headlight rating are the main cautions for used buyers, so safety should be a key part of your shopping checklist.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.03% compared with last year.
• The 2024 model brings refreshed styling and mechanical changes aimed at improving fuel economy.

The bottom line:

If you want the freshest Sentra in this range and you value the updated styling and improved efficiency, the 2024 is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2024’s softer pricing makes it easier to justify if you find a well-equipped example.
