Generally — the 2024 Lexus NX earns 4/5 from users, and its appeal centres on distinctive styling, a more minimalist cabin, strong reliability, and a broad range of powertrains. The 2024 Lexus NX is presented as a model with a strong reputation for dependability, and Lexus itself is highlighted for leading J.D. Power’s 2024 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study. That makes it a reassuring choice if you want a used luxury SUV that should be easier to live with over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about reliability and more about making sure the features you want are actually included, since many desirable items are tied to option packs.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings closely.

• Inventory: There are 205 listings available.

What is the 2024 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $47,297 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,271 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a good entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays at this level. The NX’s strong reputation for dependability should help support demand, especially among shoppers who prioritise long-term ownership confidence. Its premium positioning and broad appeal also give it a solid foundation for holding interest over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 NX makes the most sense if you want the current model-year balance of styling, reliability, and feature content, especially if you can find one near the lower end of the price range. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2024 is the better fit when you want the latest version of this formula without giving up the NX’s core strengths.
