Is the 2024 Lexus NX a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Lexus NX earns a 4/5 user rating, which supports its appeal if you want a premium compact SUV with a distinctive design, a minimalist cabin, and a broad range of powertrain choices. The NX’s strongest fit is for you if you prioritise reliability, efficiency, and a premium feel over maximum driving enjoyment or class-leading practicality. Is the 2024 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2024 NX’s reliability case is built around Lexus’s broader reputation for dependability, along with the model’s emphasis on proven powertrain choices and a straightforward premium layout. For used buyers, that usually points to lower long-term ownership risk than you might expect from a luxury SUV, especially if you choose a well-maintained example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 206 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $46,731 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $46,885 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,775 CAD.

That price movement suggests the NX has become more accessible on the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, the softer current pricing means resale upside may be more limited in the short term unless market conditions tighten. Still, the NX’s premium positioning and broad appeal should help it remain relevant with shoppers who want a luxury SUV with a strong reliability reputation.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 NX makes the most sense if you want the current-generation design, a strong reliability reputation, and a market that has become more buyer-friendly. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2024 is the better pick if you want the latest version of this formula without paying peak pricing.
