Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover stands out for blending luxury, performance, and genuine off-road ability in a way few SUVs can match. Land Rover’s long experience with four-wheel-drive systems gives it unusual credibility in harsh conditions, while the cabin aims for a high-end feel and the overall package remains focused on strong road manners as well as capability. It is also positioned as an expensive vehicle, with pricing that starts well above many mainstream luxury SUVs.

For 2024, the design is marked by subtle exterior changes, including thinner LED headlights, a trio of stacked grilles, smoother body lines, new alloy wheels, and horizontal taillights. Inside, Land Rover brings back physical climate and Terrain Response controls, while keeping the tall, angled dash, slim air vents, and much of the familiar seat and door-panel design. The 14-inch infotainment display uses Pivi Pro software, which is described as faster and more reliable than the previous system, and it adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an AI voice assistant, standard 360-degree cameras, a 13.7-inch driver display, and a high-resolution head-up display.

31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover is presented as a vehicle with strong capability, a high-end cabin, and a technology package that aims to improve day-to-day usability. The 14-inch infotainment display uses Pivi Pro software, which is described as faster and more reliable than the previous system, and the model also brings back physical climate and Terrain Response controls.

At the same time, it remains an expensive vehicle, and some controls are still routed through the touchscreen, which may not suit every buyer. For used shoppers, long-term ownership risk is best approached cautiously because premium complexity and high running costs can make repairs and upkeep more demanding.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 88 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.74% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $137,591 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $137,591 CAD sits slightly below last year's $157,674 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and equipped. Because this is a premium SUV with a high starting price, condition and specification should matter a lot when you eventually sell. If you keep mileage reasonable and service records complete, you should be better positioned to protect value.

Should I buy a 2024 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.74% compared with last year.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $147,917 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $137,591 CAD average.
• Changes for 2025 are limited to some reshuffling of options.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary choice if you want the stronger value proposition and more room to negotiate. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2024 also gives you the better entry point without giving up the core Range Rover experience.
