Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport stands out for blending serious off-road hardware with a luxury-first cabin and a strong performance focus. Land Rover’s long experience with four-wheel drive gives it unusual credibility in harsh terrain, while the Range Rover Sport’s high-end interior and classic styling help it feel special rather than merely capable. It is also positioned as a costly used SUV, which reflects its premium ambitions as much as its equipment.

For buyers who want a luxury SUV that can deliver both road presence and genuine off-road ability, it offers a distinctive mix of capability and prestige. The market also shows 38.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport’s poor reliability remains an important consideration, especially alongside its premium used pricing. It is a vehicle that can feel deeply engineered and highly capable, but ownership risk is still part of the equation.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership can be more demanding than the badge and price tag might suggest.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find a strong example.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $136,047 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $136,590 CAD sits slightly below last year's $156,570 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale pressure to remain a factor. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may soften some of that depreciation, but premium SUVs like this can still lose value quickly out of warranty.

Should I buy a 2024 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.76% compared with last year.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $145,122 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $136,590 CAD average.
• It keeps the Range Rover’s luxury focus while changing options only.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary target if you want the strongest value and more room to negotiate. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 makes more sense than stepping up to the 2025, especially since the newer model asks for more money without a major change in character.
