How much does the 2024 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 9.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 202 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Telluride earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, roomy interior, and impressive tech features, and they also highlight the comfortable seating and strong design. The expert evaluation backs that up with praise for its stylish, roomy, rugged, and value-focused character, which makes it especially appealing if you want a well-rounded three-row family SUV. The main trade-offs are the lack of a hybrid option and some cheap interior materials, plus an irritating lane-keeping system. Even so, it fits buyers who want a practical, attractive, and highly equipped midsize SUV. Good and great deals account for 26.2% of listings, which is a healthy sign of market availability.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a smooth, comfortable, and dependable-feeling ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly calling out the Telluride’s roomy cabin and impressive tech as reasons they feel confident living with it. The expert evaluation also describes it as a vehicle that feels highly capable and well sorted in everyday use, which supports the impression that it’s built to be counted on. Kia’s included three-year Kia Connect trial also adds some ownership convenience early on. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about living with the Telluride’s fuel use and its less-liked lane-keeping behaviour.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Telluride?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line, and X-Pro all come with standard all-wheel drive, but the X-Line is more of an appearance package with added ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, tow mode, blacked-out wheel designs, and roof rails. The X-Pro adds more off-road capability with all-terrain tires, heavy-duty engine cooling, and higher towing capacity, while the SX Limited brings a more upscale cabin with premium materials and a self-levelling rear suspension.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.8-litre V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It has plenty of power and good passing ability, but fuel economy is not a strength.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes collision-avoidance tech, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear occupant protection, and Highway Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist. Higher trims add front parking sensors, junction cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, and Advanced Highway Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require a cable connection through USB-C data ports, so wireless smartphone projection is not included. Kia Connect is included for three years, and wireless smartphone charging is standard.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says it should use 11.7 L/100 km in combined driving, while testing returned 12.4 L/100 km on a mountainous route and 13.4 L/100 km over a week of city driving.

Which 2024 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• EX: This is the best-value choice if you want the essentials of the Telluride experience without paying for the pricier upgrades. You still get the standard all-wheel-drive setup, the strong V6 powertrain, and the full suite of core family-SUV strengths that make the Telluride appealing.
• SX: This trim is the step up if you want more equipment and a more premium feel without going all the way to the top. It suits buyers who want a richer feature set and are willing to pay for it.
• SX Limited: This is the luxury-leaning pick, with premium Nappa leather, a 24-inch dual-screen digital display panel, classy metallic accents, and the most upscale cabin presentation. It’s the one to choose if interior quality matters most.
• X-Line: Choose this if you want the more rugged look and a bit more capability, including extra ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, tow mode, and blacked-out exterior details.
• X-Pro: This is the most capability-focused version, with all-terrain tires, heavy-duty engine cooling, and the highest towing rating. It’s the right pick if you want the most rugged Telluride.

The safety package is strong across the range, but some advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Telluride?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it’s a sensible time to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 26.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 202 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,436 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $47,586 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,544 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you’re buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations. The current market suggests the Telluride is still in demand, yet not immune to broader price cooling. If you buy at the right number and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should be better positioned when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2024 Telluride earns a five-star overall crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes collision-avoidance tech, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear occupant protection, and Highway Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist. Higher trims add front parking sensors, junction cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, and Advanced Highway Driving Assist. The lane-keeping system can feel intrusive when Highway Driving Assist is not engaged, which is the main caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 26.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the refreshed Telluride formula intact while adding only minor detail changes.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,975 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,586 CAD average.
• It adds modest updates and new X-Line and X-Pro trims.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $53,184 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,586 CAD average.
• It remains a capable family SUV, but its technology feels more dated.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and current-market availability, the 2024 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play. If you want the newest nearby option and don’t mind paying more, the 2025 is still worth a look.
