How much does the 2024 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 11.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 196 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Telluride earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, roomy interior, and impressive tech features, and they also highlight the comfortable seating and strong design. The Telluride’s appeal is especially clear if you want a stylish, practical three-row SUV for family use. The main trade-offs are no hybrid option and some cheap interior materials, plus an irritating lane-keeping system. Even so, it remains a compelling choice for shoppers who want a well-rounded midsize crossover. Good and great deals account for 37.2% of listings, which is a healthy sign of market availability.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as smooth, roomy, and impressive in everyday use, which points to a vehicle people feel confident living with over time. The expert evaluation also frames it as a well-rounded SUV that feels easy to recommend for family duty. Kia’s included maintenance and ownership support features add some reassurance for day-to-day use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that fuel costs and some interior wear points may be more noticeable than on more efficient rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Telluride?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line, and X-Pro all come with standard all-wheel drive, but the X-Line is more of an appearance package with added ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, and a tow mode. The X-Pro adds more off-road capability, all-terrain tyres, heavy-duty engine cooling, and higher towing capacity.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.8-litre V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It has plenty of power and good passing ability, but it is not very fuel-efficient.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes collision-avoidance tech, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear occupant protection, and Highway Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist. Higher trims add front parking sensors, junction cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and Advanced Highway Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: Every Telluride gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require a cable connection, and wireless smartphone projection is not included. Kia Connect is included for three years, and wireless charging is standard.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the Telluride should use 11.7 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and testing returned 12.4 L/100 km on a mountainous route and 13.4 L/100 km over a week of city driving.

Which 2024 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• EX: This is the best-value choice because it gives you the core Telluride experience with the equipment most shoppers need in a three-row SUV.
• SX: Step up here if you want more premium features and a stronger tech experience without going all the way to the top.
• SX Limited: This is the luxury-leaning pick, with higher-quality interior materials and the most upscale cabin presentation.
• X-Line: Choose this if you want the more rugged look and the added ground clearance, approach and departure improvements, and tow mode.
• X-Pro: Pick this if you want the most capability-focused version, with all-terrain tyres, heavy-duty cooling, and the highest towing capacity.

Higher trims also bring additional safety features, including front parking sensors, junction cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and Advanced Highway Driving Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Telluride?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 196 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $46,460 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $46,460 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,717 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Telluride has become more accessible for used buyers, which can narrow the gap between asking prices and what shoppers are willing to pay. For a future seller, that means resale value may depend more on trim, condition, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone. The good news is that strong demand and a well-regarded reputation should help support buyer interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2024 Telluride earns a five-star overall crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes collision-avoidance technology, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear occupant protection, and Highway Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist. Higher trims add front parking sensors, junction cross-traffic alert, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, automatic rear braking, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and Advanced Highway Driving Assist. The lane-keeping system can feel too intrusive without Highway Driving Assist, which is a notable caveat for some drivers.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Telluride formula intact with minor detail changes and strong family-friendly appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,359 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $46,460 CAD average.
• It adds minor styling changes, new technology, and new X-Line and X-Pro trims.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,514 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $46,460 CAD average.
• It remains highly capable for family travel, but its technology feels more dated.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the current-year balance of value, safety, and equipment. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter path; if you want a newer-feeling alternative and can spend more, the 2025 is worth a look.
