Yes — the 2024 Kia Sportage earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a compact SUV with broad trim choice and a straightforward family-friendly layout. The overview points to strong value, a wide equipment range, and multiple powertrain choices, so you can tailor it to everyday commuting, family use, or a more upscale feel. Is the 2024 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the Sportage’s appeal comes from value, equipment breadth, and multiple powertrain choices rather than from any standout performance claim. For used buyers, that usually means you should focus on maintenance history and condition, since long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-kept example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 678 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,158 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $29,158 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,930 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale may be shaped by how much of that discount remains in the market. If prices stabilise, a well-kept Sportage could hold its appeal reasonably well because shoppers still have a lot of interest in the model’s value and equipment mix. If depreciation continues, a future seller may need to price more competitively to stand out.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,345 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $29,158 CAD average.
• It is a good all-arounder with stylish design, spaciousness, and impressive technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and a broad mix of trims, features, and powertrains. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value play, especially if you find one with the styling and roomy cabin that make it stand out.
