This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 680 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,154 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $29,154 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,697 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can put some pressure on resale expectations if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at today’s average, you may have less immediate equity than someone who bought earlier in the cycle. Even so, the Sportage’s broad appeal and strong equipment list should help it remain competitive with shoppers looking for value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,215 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $29,154 CAD average.
• It offers a stylish, roomy cabin with strong technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and a broad mix of trims, features, and powertrains. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you find one with the styling and space you want.
