Is the 2024 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Sportage earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a compact SUV with a lot of choice without feeling stripped down. The overview points to a broad equipment spread, with standard heated front seats in Canada, available ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof on higher trims, and a wide set of driver-assistance features. It also gives you flexibility across gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid versions, so you can prioritise efficiency, equipment, or both depending on your needs. 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent pool of attractive options.

Is the 2024 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a well-equipped, broadly appealing SUV rather than one built around complexity for its own sake, which can be reassuring for used buyers. Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 703 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,040 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $29,049 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,927 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $26,984 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $29,049 CAD average.
• It stands out as a stylish, practical all-rounder with strong space and technology appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the broader current-market selection and a model year with softened pricing, the 2024 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the smarter value-focused alternative.
