Why it stands out

The 2024 INFINITI Q50 stands out as a midsize premium sedan that leans heavily on value, equipment, and power rather than constant reinvention. It was part of a long-running first generation that stayed largely the same over many years, and that consistency is a big part of its appeal for used-car shoppers. The Q50 was introduced as a replacement for the Infiniti G37, and its character is closer to a luxury sedan than a pure sports sedan, even though it still offers a strong performance focus.

By 2024, the Q50’s appeal came from its well-equipped cabin and its available V6 power. The model line included standard, Hybrid, and Premium trim levels at launch, with later trim changes and equipment updates over time. Standard features on early entry-level models included automatic LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, remote keyless entry, eight-way power driver’s seat adjustment, SiriusXM satellite radio, 17-inch aluminium-alloy wheels, voice recognition, and a rear-view camera. Higher trims added heated front seats, a Bose premium audio system, and Infiniti InTouch, while driver assistance and safety features were available from the start but were initially optional.

The 2024 Q50 also carried the strengths and compromises that defined the model overall. Its engine range was limited compared with many rivals, but the available powertrains were a major selling point, and the car was known for competitive pricing relative to the equipment and performance it offered. On the downside, fuel economy was never a strong point, and by the end of its run the Q50 was starting to feel dated next to newer competitors. Even so, it remained a compelling choice for buyers who wanted a well-equipped premium sedan with strong performance and a reputation for decent value.
