Generally — the 2022 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4/5 user rating, and its appeal is rooted in a premium sedan formula that prioritises standard equipment, strong V6 power, and value. It suits you if you want a luxury-oriented car with a sporty edge and a generous feature set rather than the newest design on the road. The 2022 INFINITI Q50’s reliability story is tied to its established formula: it was part of a long-running design that changed little over time, and that familiarity can be reassuring for used buyers. Its strong standard equipment and proven V6-focused setup also point to a car that was built around consistency rather than novelty. For used shoppers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a well-equipped premium sedan can still bring higher upkeep expectations than a mainstream car.

What is the 2022 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $31,698 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,323 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Q50 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. Because the current average is still within the model’s year-round range, you may have some room to buy without overpaying. If demand remains supported by its value and standard equipment, resale should stay reasonably stable for a premium sedan in this segment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,723 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $31,698 CAD average.
• It adds a sharper focus on style and performance.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the better value play and are comfortable with its familiar, feature-rich formula. Consider the 2023 if you’re willing to pay a bit more for a newer model year and a slightly more style-forward appeal. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2022 is the stronger starting point.
