Used 2024 Hyundai Tucson for Sale nearSudbury, ON

How much does the 2024 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 11.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 642 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its sleek design, spacious interior, modern technology, and value for money. The Tucson is also framed as a well-rounded compact SUV that balances passenger and cargo space with an attractive price tag, which makes it appealing if you want an all-around family-friendly small SUV rather than a niche specialist.

The trade-offs are that the infotainment system can be frustrating and the powertrain is described as disappointing overall, even though the turbocharged setup is energetic. That means you should expect a vehicle that leans more toward comfort, space, and value than outright driving excitement.

Good and great deals account for 29.0% of listings, which is a decent sign that the market still has some room for shoppers to find value.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise for its value, features, and everyday usability. The review summary also highlights the Tucson’s spacious interior and modern technology, which are the kinds of traits that usually support confidence in day-to-day ownership.

From an expert perspective, the Tucson’s well-rounded nature and comfortable, spacious cabin suggest it should be easy to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about a single major flaw and more about whether you can live with the modest powertrain and the less intuitive infotainment setup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Preferred comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen, while the Trend package adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat, leatherette upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and two more USB ports. The N Line adds 19-inch alloy wheels, sporty accents, paddle shifters, ambient lighting, and a Bose 8-speaker sound system. The Luxury trim adds heated outboard rear seats, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, and rear occupant alert features. The Ultimate adds ventilated front seats, genuine leather upholstery, memory settings, and extra driver-assistance technology.
• Powertrain: The standard gas model uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It is the only non-hybrid powertrain offered, and the expert review notes that it can feel underpowered when merging or passing.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Ultimate adds front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument panel. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but they require a wire in all trims. The system is not wireless, and the volume control setup is less intuitive than a traditional dial.
• Fuel efficiency: The gas-only AWD model is rated at 10.0 L/100 km in city driving, 7.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Hyundai Tucson trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred, N Line, Luxury, and Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you a strong equipment list with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and the 10.25-inch touchscreen. If you want the best balance of price and everyday features, this is the trim to start with.
• N Line: This trim adds the sportier visual treatment, larger 19-inch wheels, paddle shifters, ambient lighting, and the Bose audio system. It suits you if you want a more expressive look and a richer cabin feel.
• Luxury: This is the comfort-oriented step up, adding heated outboard rear seats, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, and rear occupant alert features. It makes sense if you want more family-friendly convenience without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Ultimate: This is the most feature-rich version, with ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, memory settings, a surround-view camera, Smart Park, and the blind-spot camera system. It is the one to choose if you want the most advanced safety and parking tech.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the Ultimate trim adds the most advanced driver-assistance and parking features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 642 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $28,986 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $29,023 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,964 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has softened enough to give used buyers more leverage today, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later, especially if you choose a trim with broader appeal.

The Tucson’s strong feature content and solid owner satisfaction should help support demand over time. Well-equipped compact SUVs with good reputations tend to stay relevant in the used market, even when prices cool.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Tucson safe?

The 2024 Tucson earns a Good overall score from IIHS in most phases of crash testing, and it has earned five-star ratings in a frontal crash test and four-star ratings in a rollover test from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher trims add front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, Smart Park remote-parking, and a blind-spot camera system.

The main caveat is that the standard headlights are rated Acceptable by IIHS rather than the top score, even though the crash-prevention technology earns a top Superior result.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 Tucson is presented as a well-rounded compact SUV with strong safety features, good passenger and cargo space, and an attractive price tag.

The bottom line: If you want a used Tucson that balances value, space, safety, and equipment, the 2024 model is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced example gives you the features you need without stretching your budget.
