Is the 2024 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Ford Expedition earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is aimed at family duty rather than flash, with a third row, plenty of passenger space, and a smooth ride from its independent rear suspension. It also brings a strong mix of convenience and technology, including satellite radio, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 360-degree cameras, and hands-free driving capabilities. For shoppers who want a full-size SUV with versatility and comfort, it fits that brief well. 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Ford Expedition is built around a body-on-frame layout and shares hardware and technology with the Ford F-150, which supports its truck-based durability. Its family-focused design and long-running formula also suggest a vehicle meant to handle regular use, not just occasional driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, feature-rich SUV can be costly to keep in top shape if previous maintenance was inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 188 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $66,528 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $67,263 CAD sits slightly below last year's $84,431 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale more sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should still attract family buyers looking for space and capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $89,062 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $67,263 CAD average.
• It brings an all-new cabin and a new Tremor trim for more off-road ability.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better value if you want a full-size SUV with strong space, comfort, and a softer used-market price. If you want the newest design and can stretch your budget, the 2025 is the upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2024 is the smarter buy.
