Is the 2024 BMW 3 Series a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 BMW 3 Series, and the model’s appeal is easy to see in its mix of performance, handling, and luxury. In Canada, you get a four-door sedan with standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission, so it feels polished and capable while still keeping the sharp driving character buyers expect. It also brings a wide spread of powertrains, a practical cabin, and a generally good reliability record, which makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury sedan that can handle everyday use. 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW 3 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 BMW 3 Series is described as having a generally good reliability record, which is reassuring if you plan to keep the car for several years. Its mainstream mechanical layout and updated cabin tech should make it a sensible used-luxury choice, though you should still budget carefully for premium-brand ownership costs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 3 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 148 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,868 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 3 Series's resale value?

The current average of $47,927 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,974 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking an immediate depreciation hit. Strong demand for well-kept examples should still help support values, especially for desirable trims and clean-history cars.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,148 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,927 CAD average.
• It offers a refreshed look, updated interior design, and newer technology.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $54,761 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,927 CAD average.
• It keeps the engaging drive while adding minor refinements and updated tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, strong satisfaction, and broad availability, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you want the newer model-year refinements and can justify the higher price.
