Should I buy a 2024 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,573 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,836 CAD average.
• It adds refreshed styling and updated technology.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $55,120 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,836 CAD average.
• It keeps the engaging drive while adding refinements and advanced technology.

The bottom line:

The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest mix of current features, broad powertrain choice, and a softer market price than last year. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you want the newer-feeling option and are comfortable paying more.
