This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 133 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.72% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 BMW 3 Series's resale value?

The current average of $45,841 CAD sits slightly below last year's $54,388 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than it would be in a rising market. Well-kept examples with desirable features should still attract attention, but you may need to price competitively to stand out.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $39,297 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $45,841 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed cockpit and updated technology.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $55,200 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $45,841 CAD average.
• It adds refinements and keeps the driving experience engaging.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want the current-year balance of value, technology, and driving appeal. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the latest refinements and can stretch your budget.
