How much does the 2019 BMW 3 Series cost?

Prices have softened 14.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 153 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for shoppers comparing prices and equipment.

Is the 2019 BMW 3 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2019 BMW 3 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview shows a car that blends performance with everyday usability, while also offering a wide range of body styles and powertrains, plus rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and manual or automatic transmissions. That versatility makes it appealing if you want a premium car that can suit different driving preferences and use cases. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 BMW 3 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests reliability is better than the generation before it, but the earliest examples from this run still have a mixed reputation, so condition and maintenance history matter a great deal. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is not the badge itself, but whether the specific car has been properly maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW 3 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 153 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,578 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW 3 Series's resale value?

The current average of $24,578 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,598 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and service records rather than just model-year desirability. Well-kept examples should still attract interest, but you should expect buyers to be selective in a market where prices have already softened.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $32,942 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $24,578 CAD average.
• It adds a stronger, more polished driving experience with broad premium-sedan appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and maintenance history. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer alternative, the 2020 is the better path; if price matters most, the 2019 is the smarter buy.
