Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 188 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $35,410 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport's resale value?

The current average of $35,420 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,417 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the range gives you more cushion against depreciation. Strong demand from shoppers who value owner satisfaction can still support resale.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $31,007 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $35,420 CAD average.
• It offers a stylish cabin with a comfortable ride.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,194 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,420 CAD average.
• It adds a major refresh with more standard features and a stronger turbocharged engine.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want a balance of price, satisfaction, and current-market value. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the smarter budget-focused alternative.
