Used 2023 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2023 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 8.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 144 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.11/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for family buyers. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its fuel efficiency, spaciousness, and comfort, and the hybrid setup is a major draw for shoppers who want strong economy in a family hauler. It also fits the use case well if you want everyday practicality, convenience, and cargo space for busy household duty.

The trade-offs are worth noting: the expert review calls out sluggish acceleration and an irritating transmission, while owners mention lack of power and some technology frustrations. Even so, the Sienna’s combination of efficiency and family-friendly packaging keeps it compelling, and 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.11/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily family use, with repeated praise for its fuel efficiency, comfort, and spaciousness. The expert review also describes the technology as reliable, even if the interface itself feels dated and a bit clunky.

Toyota’s hybrid powertrain and family-focused design should make it a sensible long-term ownership choice, though you should still watch for signs of hard use in a minivan that may have spent years hauling kids and cargo.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and 25th Anniversary Special Edition each bring different equipment levels, and the base trim misses some of the convenience features found higher up. The XLE is especially appealing if you want standard power-sliding doors and a power liftgate with kick sensors.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid setup with two front-mounted electric motors, plus a third rear-mounted electric motor on AWD trims. The trade-off is modest power for the Sienna’s size and a CVT that can sound strained under acceleration.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is part of the standard safety setup, along with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. These features are standard, which is a major plus for family use.
• Infotainment: You get a 9-inch touchscreen, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, seven USB ports, and an optional navigation system. The catch is that CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection, and the interface feels older than Toyota’s newer systems.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the FWD model at 6.6 L/100 km combined, while AWD is rated at 6.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Sienna is offered in 5 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and 25th Anniversary Special Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point if you want the Sienna’s hybrid efficiency and standard safety tech at the lowest rung. It makes sense if you mainly care about value and family practicality.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds standard power-sliding doors and a power liftgate with kick sensors, which are genuinely useful in daily family life.
• XSE: Choose this if you want a sportier look and, on FWD models, 20-inch wheels. It suits buyers who want a more distinctive appearance without moving all the way to the top end.
• 25th Anniversary Special Edition: This trim sits just below the Limited and is the pick if you want a commemorative version with a more upscale feel than the mainstream trims.
• Limited: This is the most premium mainstream choice, and it’s the trim to target if you want the richest equipment mix, including the standard JBL premium audio system in Canada.

Toyota’s standard safety package is a major selling point across the range, so you do not need to move to a higher trim to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 144 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,590 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $51,326 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,060 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you if you’re buying now, but it also suggests sellers may need to be realistic when it’s time to list. A vehicle that has already moved down from its prior-year average can be easier to buy at a fair price, yet future resale will depend on how well the market continues to value hybrid efficiency and family practicality.

For a seller, the key takeaway is that the Sienna’s value story is tied to demand for efficient minivans. If fuel economy remains a priority for shoppers, that should help support pricing. If inventory stays healthy, though, you may need to price competitively to stand out.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.11/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2023 Toyota Sienna earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ designation from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense and the standard driver-assistance suite include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. That’s a strong standard safety list for a family vehicle.

The main caveat is that Toyota’s competitors also score well in this area, so the Sienna’s safety advantage is strong but not unique. Even so, the standard equipment and top crash-test results make it one of the model’s biggest strengths.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.11/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines hybrid efficiency with standard safety tech and family-friendly practicality.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $47,176 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $51,326 CAD average.
• It carries over the redesigned hybrid formula with little change.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,148 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $51,326 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern, efficiency-focused family-hauler feel with optional AWD.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, availability, and proven hybrid family practicality, the 2023 is the sensible default. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look for lower entry cost, while shoppers willing to pay more can step to the 2024 for a newer-feeling package.
