This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 616 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,602 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $25,602 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,346 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your resale outcome will depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A well-kept Crosstrek should still appeal to shoppers who value practicality, all-weather ability, and efficiency.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,248 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $25,602 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed third-generation design with more engine choices and upgraded tech.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its simpler, proven formula. Consider the 2024 if you want the newer design and are willing to pay more for added technology and broader capability.
