Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Inventory: There are 609 listings available.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $25,854 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,204 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be realistic unless the vehicle is especially well equipped, lightly used, or exceptionally clean. The current price position leaves some room for value retention, but the recent decline shows that buyers are still price sensitive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,168 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $25,854 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed third-generation design with more engine choices and a new Wilderness trim.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its proven formula. If you want newer tech, more powertrain choice, and a more modern update, the 2024 is the better path, but it costs more. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the smarter buy; for shoppers prioritising the latest features, the 2024 is worth the extra spend.
