Is the 2023 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Porsche Macan earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its sporty driving experience, especially the handling, along with its standard features and high-quality interior. It also fits well if you want a premium-feeling compact SUV that is more engaging to drive than many rivals, though it is less convincing if your priority is family practicality. Is the 2023 Porsche Macan reliable?

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise for the Macan’s trouble-free feel, strong standard equipment, and the kind of quality that helps you count on it over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic reliability and more about whether the vehicle’s premium running costs and practical compromises suit your needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 140 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $58,051 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $58,051 CAD sits slightly below last year's $72,851 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Macan has become more accessible to used buyers, which can help support demand in the near term. For a future seller, the current softness may mean less upside than in a stronger market, but it also keeps the vehicle within reach of more shoppers. Because the Macan has strong owner satisfaction, it should continue to attract interest from buyers who want a premium compact SUV with a sporty edge.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $51,242 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $58,051 CAD average.
• It drives more like a sports car than a typical SUV.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the newer model-year pricing trend, strong owner satisfaction, and a good chance of finding a competitively priced listing. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value play and still delivers the Macan’s core sporty character.
