How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC cost?

Prices have softened 10.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating.

The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

It suits you best if you want a small luxury SUV that feels familiar rather than flashy, with a polished cabin and a relaxed daily driving experience. The trade-offs are that it does not offer much cargo space, and it is not very exciting to drive.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 35.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GLC is described as a refined, comfort-focused luxury SUV, and the expert review highlights excellent materials quality, solid construction, and a nearly silent cabin. Its powertrain is also presented as smooth and easy to live with, which supports everyday dependability.

Mercedes also says the adaptive cruise control operates smoothly and trustworthily, and false alarms are extraordinarily rare. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether you can live with its limited cargo space and premium running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard GLC 300 is the main focus here, and it brings a redesigned cabin with a large vertical infotainment touchscreen and a tablet-like instrument panel. You should also note that the Coupe uses the older layout and comes with cross-traffic alerts and a surround-view camera as standard.
• Powertrain: The GLC 300 uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive in Canada.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, adaptive headlights with automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. The optional Intelligent Drive package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, lane change assist, and emergency stop assist.
• Infotainment: The new setup centres on an 11.9-inch touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included. The system also supports voice control through MBUX, though the screen placement and touch controls can be distracting.
• Fuel efficiency: The GLC 300 is estimated at 10.4 L/100 km in city driving, 9.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.8 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC is offered in 1 trim level: GLC 300.

Here's the short version:

The GLC 300 is the trim to focus on because it is the only standard GLC SUV trim in this model year and it delivers the core Mercedes experience: a premium cabin, smooth power delivery, and strong efficiency for the class. It is the best-value choice by default, since there are no lower or higher standard SUV trims to compare against.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the Intelligent Drive package is optional, so you may need to shop carefully if you want adaptive cruise control and the other added driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 343 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,491 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $48,660 CAD sits slightly below last year's $54,618 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may pressure future resale returns if you sell soon. If you plan to own the GLC for several years, the current trend gives you a better entry point than last year’s market. For a future seller, the key will be whether demand stays steady for a comfort-focused luxury SUV with strong efficiency.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC safe?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC does not yet have current crash-test results from NHTSA or IIHS for the redesigned SUV.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features and driver assistance technologies include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, adaptive headlights with automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. You can add adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, lane change assist, and emergency stop assist with the optional Intelligent Drive package. The Coupe comes standard with cross-traffic alerts and the surround-view camera, while the rest of its Intelligent Drive package matches the new GLC.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign is conservative, but the interior upgrades keep it at the top of the small luxury SUV class.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,083 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $48,660 CAD average.
• It adds AMG variants and a broader redesigned lineup.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and are happy with the standard GLC 300’s comfort-first character. Consider the 2024 if you want a broader lineup and are willing to pay more for the newer model year; price-sensitive buyers should stay with the 2023.
