The Lucid Air electric luxury sedan is an excellent first effort hampered by technology bugs.

Nevertheless, Lucid recently achieved liftoff with the Air electric sedan, joining Rivian as an electric vehicle startup with legitimate long-term potential. Based in California and building EVs in a new factory in Arizona, Lucid Motors holds plenty of promise. That’s evident in the 2023 Lucid Air, now available in a more affordable Pure trim level that brings the starting price at just over $100,000 Canadian. And soon, the 2024 Lucid Gravity SUV will join the lineup, giving the company a three-row luxury EV in the format people prefer.
