This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

The current average of $56,285 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,347 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point. If you plan to sell later, the current softness may limit short-term upside, but it can also make the vehicle more accessible to a wider pool of used shoppers. Strong demand from satisfied owners can help support values over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $48,226 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $56,285 CAD average.
• The 2022 focuses on a roomy, comfort-oriented cabin with strong family appeal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and a decent share of deal listings to compare. If your priority is stretching your budget further, the 2022 is the better secondary path because it comes in noticeably cheaper while still aiming at the same full-size SUV mission.
