Is the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, modern technology, and spacious interior, and they also like the way it blends utility with everyday comfort. The main trade-offs are concerns about the durability of some electronic features and the limited payload capacity. For long-term ownership, your risk is less about the overall concept and more about checking that the truck’s tech and utility features have aged well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz?

This is a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right listing appears, but you should still compare carefully.

• Inventory: There are 173 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz's resale value?

The current average of $31,736 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,590 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale a little more competitive for you as an owner. If you buy at the current average, you may have less cushion than someone who purchased when prices were higher. Even so, the model’s broad appeal and steady demand can help support resale performance over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,203 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,736 CAD average.
• It offers a distinctive, car-like take on compact pickup practicality.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,746 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,736 CAD average.
• It adds a few updates while keeping the same familiar formula.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-liked Santa Cruz at a softer price than the newer model year. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the value play; if you want the newer version and do not mind paying more, the 2024 is the alternative to compare.
