Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 25.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,374 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz's resale value?

The current average of $32,374 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,794 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale values a little softer in the near term. If you buy now, you may want to focus on a well-priced example so you have less room to lose on depreciation later. Strong demand can still support resale, especially when a model has broad appeal and a good reputation with owners.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 25.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,354 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,374 CAD average.
• It introduced Hyundai's compact, car-like take on a pickup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,921 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $32,374 CAD average.
• It adds a few updates while keeping the same versatile formula.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want strong owner satisfaction and a softer price than last year. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want to spend more for a newer model year, the 2024 is the alternative to compare.
