Is the 2023 Honda Civic Hatchback a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Civic Hatchback earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic Hatchback reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centred on the car’s overall consistency and the confidence it inspires over time. That said, some shoppers noted that lower trims can feel sparse and certain higher trims may not feel fully justified on value.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a trim that does not add enough equipment for the money.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Civic Hatchback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,528 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Civic Hatchback's resale value?

The current average of $27,528 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,292 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if prices stay soft. If you plan to sell later, buying near the lower end of the range gives you more room to protect your equity.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Civic Hatchback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $26,224 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,528 CAD average.
• It brings back the hatchback body style with added practicality.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,359 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $27,528 CAD average.
• It adds a turbocharged engine and more all-round polish.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best balanced choice if you want strong owner satisfaction and a market that is easier to shop than last year. If price is your top priority, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
