How much does the 2023 Honda Accord cost?

There are 109 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord a good car?

It’s a strong choice if you want a traditional midsize sedan that puts driving enjoyment, passenger space, and safety ahead of extra versatility. The user rating is 3.5/5, and the expert rating is 6.67/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The Accord’s appeal comes from its fun-to-drive character, spacious interior, and strong safety ratings. The trade-offs are that it does not offer all-wheel drive, and it also lacks a third-row seat and a big cargo area you can pack to the roof.

With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some opportunities if you’re selective.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord reliable?

The 2023 Accord is presented as a robust, well-sorted family sedan with a refined chassis and a powertrain that is adequate for everyday use. The expert evaluation also notes that the suspension filters out harshness well and that the car feels easy to drive in urban and suburban settings.

Honda’s 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder is described as refined compared with the previous-generation version, and the CVT is said to be adequate in normal driving. The evaluation also notes that the structure feels robust and that the car is genuinely capable and enjoyable on winding roads.

On the cost side, the Accord EX is described as not especially cost-effective versus rivals, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is less about mechanical fragility and more about paying a premium for the package.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX is the gas-only version in Canada, and it gets cloth seats, a dark grille, LED headlights, a pewter wheel finish, digital instrumentation, and a touchscreen infotainment system. It is nicely outfitted, but it does not bring the more upscale or more feature-rich feel you’ll find in higher trims.
• Powertrain: The EX uses a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder with 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive. It is adequate rather than thrilling, and Honda recommends the Sport or Touring trims if you want larger wheels and wider tires with more grip.
• Safety package: Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing, including adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, a driver monitoring system, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: The EX has a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen, plus Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, HondaLink connected services, Wi-Fi access, an SOS emergency call button, two USB-C ports, and an eight-speaker audio system. Google Built-in is reserved for the Touring Hybrid trim.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the Accord EX should return 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving. The test vehicle returned 8.2 L/100 km on the evaluation route.

Which 2023 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord is offered in 1 trim level: EX.

Here's the short version:

The EX: is the one to focus on if you want the standard gas model in Canada. It brings the core Accord experience: a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine, a CVT, a spacious cabin, Honda Sensing, and the main infotainment and connectivity features. It is the right fit if you value the Accord’s driving feel and safety package more than extra luxury or performance upgrades.

Honda Sensing is standard on this trim, so you do not need to step up for the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings before committing.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 109 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,670 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $27,672 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,959 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Accord has softened enough to improve your buying position today. If you’re planning to sell later, you should expect resale values to depend heavily on trim, condition, and mileage, because the market has already moved down from last year’s level.

For a future seller, the current trend means you may not recover as much as owners did a year ago. If you buy at the right price now and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect your eventual resale outcome.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord safe?

The 2023 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, a driver monitoring system, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The system is described as accurate, refined, and sophisticated overall. The main caveat is that the lane-centring system can waver a bit near highway off-ramps, and the lane-departure warning is subtle rather than especially forceful.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.41% compared with last year.
• It appeals to you as an excellent traditional four-door family car that is fun to drive, spacious, and safety-focused.

The bottom line: The 2023 Accord makes the most sense if you want the redesigned version’s driving enjoyment and safety strengths and you’re comfortable with its pricing and lack of all-wheel drive. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, especially if you can find a cleaner deal or a better-equipped example for similar money.
