Used 2023 Genesis GV70 for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2023 Genesis GV70 cost?

Prices have softened 15.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 140 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the premium cabin, the strong mix of technology and performance, and the smooth ride quality on longer drives. The GV70 also stands out for its high-quality features and refined feel, which help it deliver on its luxury promise.

The main trade-offs are a confusing infotainment controller and mixed reactions to the styling, while the overview also points to tight rear legroom and a poor-range EV variant. For you, that means the GV70 makes the most sense if you want a compact luxury SUV with a polished, upscale character rather than maximum rear-seat space or the simplest controls. With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market choice.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for the vehicle’s premium build, smooth ride, and overall quality. The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the GV70 as well-rounded and refined, with powertrains that deliver confident performance in everyday driving.

Genesis also includes scheduled maintenance for five years, which helps reduce early ownership friction. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about choosing a well-kept example with the features and powertrain that suit your needs.

Which 2023 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Genesis GV70 is offered in 5 trim levels: 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Advanced Plus, 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Sport, 3.5T Sport Plus.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T Advanced: This is the best-value starting point if you want the GV70’s luxury basics without stretching the budget. You still get heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and adaptive cruise control.
• 2.5T Advanced Plus: This is the trim to target if you want the strongest balance of equipment and value. The added head-up display, 360-degree camera, blind-spot view monitor, and upgraded Lexicon audio system make it feel meaningfully richer without jumping to the top end.
• 2.5T Prestige: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin and extra convenience features. The Nappa leather, suede headliner, power cushion extension, and remote smart parking assist make it the most luxurious four-cylinder choice.
• 3.5T Sport: This is for you if you want the stronger V6 and a more athletic setup. The electronically controlled suspension, 21-inch wheels, and sport leather upholstery give it a more performance-oriented character.
• 3.5T Sport Plus: Pick this only if you want the most fully loaded GV70 with the V6. The electronic limited slip differential, digital cluster, carbon fibre trim, and acoustic rear door glass make it the most feature-rich version.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but some advanced features are reserved for higher trims, so it is worth checking the exact equipment list before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Genesis GV70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 140 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,072 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $42,072 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,963 CAD.

That price movement suggests the GV70 has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier for future sellers to attract attention if the vehicle is well equipped and well maintained. A softer market can also mean you may need to price competitively when it is time to sell, especially if similar listings remain plentiful. Even so, the model’s premium image and strong feature content should help support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV70 safe?

The Genesis GV70 receives a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute from Highway Safety (IIHS), its highest honour.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

You get a full suite of driver-assistance features, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and highway driving assist with lane-keeping assist. The 2.5T Advanced Plus adds a blind-spot camera system and a 360-degree parking camera system, while reverse automatic emergency braking is included on the Prestige grade.

Much of this equipment comes standard on the Electrified GV70, which makes it especially appealing if you want a well-equipped safety package without moving up the trim ladder. The main caveat is that some of the most useful features are trim-dependent, so you should confirm the exact safety equipment on any used example you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2023 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds an all-electric model to the lineup while keeping the GV70’s premium feel.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $35,873 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $42,072 CAD average.
• It launched the GV70 into Canada’s luxury SUV market with strong value and upscale materials.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,286 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $42,072 CAD average.
• It adds a fresh-feeling luxury crossover identity with a well-executed electric variant.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price movement, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the smart default. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want the newer-feeling update path, the 2024 is the one to compare.
