Is the 2023 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford Mustang earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its performance, styling, and value, and many also highlight the driving experience, the sound system, and the convertible option. That lines up well with its role as a rear-wheel-drive sports car that offers coupe and convertible body styles, so you get a classic muscle-car formula with broad appeal.

With 34.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car people feel good about living with, especially when it comes to performance and overall enjoyment. Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 191 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,783 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $42,783 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,315 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively today but may also temper what you recover later if you sell. If you plan to own the car for a few years, the current price trend gives you a clearer entry point, but future resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,699 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $42,783 CAD average.
• It adds major interior and technology upgrades.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger value proposition and a wider pool of listings to compare. If you’re willing to spend more for newer tech and interior improvements, the 2024 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter buy.
