Why it stands out
The 2023 Ford Mustang stands out because it sits at the end of the sixth generation, a long-running era that brought a ground-up redesign, a new independent rear suspension, and the Mustang’s first global push. It kept the familiar rear-wheel-drive layout and coupe and convertible body styles, while offering a broad range of engines and transmissions that helped the car appeal to both everyday buyers and performance-focused shoppers. That variety is part of what has always made the Mustang distinctive: it remains a sports car with enough choice to suit different budgets and tastes.
For 2023, the Mustang’s appeal is also tied to its mix of performance and usability. The available EcoBoost turbocharged 2.3-litre inline four-cylinder engine gives base models a more efficient entry point, while higher trims can be had with V8 power. The generation also includes a 10-speed automatic and, depending on the engine, six-speed manual options. Buyers looking at this year should still be aware of reported issues such as oil consumption, potential head gasket failure, transmission slippage, and the possibility of powertrain problems, so condition and maintenance history matter.
As a used car, the 2023 Ford Mustang is attractive because it is still relatively new, which can make it a smart way to get into a modern Mustang without stepping all the way into the latest generation. Owners commonly praise its performance, styling, sound system, and convertible option, but some also note that it does not feel especially luxurious. That balance of strong character, broad choice, and a few practical compromises is exactly what keeps the Mustang such a recognisable nameplate.

It doesn’t have a lot of luxury features but the active exhaust is great and for its age and mileage it was a good price.

Great car. Great color. Lots of extra features. Good value for what it has. Wish it had a spoiler. But no biggie. I love it. 1st v8. Hyped!

From a purely aesthetic standpoint the new Mustangs look like the classic muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s. It has that wide body and low to the ground appearance you expect from a Ford Mustang. This particular model with its “White Ice Appearance Package” is truly classy. But this vehicle is nothing like the Mustangs of the 60’s and 70’s. It has all the “Bells and Whistles” of the modern technology era! From its state of the art 12 LCD Digital IP CLUSTER, to its SAFETY/SECURITY conscious package this vehicle is truly a marvel and an utter joy to drive. As far as being a good value, I think Ford has done a fairly good job of giving the car buyer the most and best bang for his buck. They’ve incorporated the things people are looking for in a vehicle and done so at a reasonable cost to the consumer. From my point of view the EcoBoost Premium Fastback RWD with the 201A Optional Equipment Package leaves nothing out. It was a great deal for the price and it has everything that I need or even desired in a car.
