Used 2023 Dodge Challenger for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2023 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices have softened 17.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 132 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, fun driving experience, and strong value. They also highlight the ample legroom and trunk space, which helps the Challenger work better as a daily-use muscle car than its styling might suggest.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is poor, the technology is outdated, and advanced safety features are not standard. That makes it best suited to you if you want a dramatic, traditional performance car experience rather than a modern efficiency-first coupe.

Only 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with strong satisfaction tied to the car’s performance and overall value. The expert assessment also reinforces that this is a car built around a durable, old-school formula rather than complicated technology.

Its straightforward mechanical character can be a plus for long-term ownership, but the used-buyer risk is that condition matters a lot more than mileage alone, especially if the car has been driven hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Challenger lineup ranges from a base rear-wheel-drive SXT to the Black Ghost, and the base trim is the one most likely to leave you without the more desirable luxury and special-edition touches. The Black Ghost adds premium Laguna semi-aniline leather upholstery, simulated suede, genuine carbon fibre trim, and exclusive retro detailing.
• Powertrain: The Challenger is built around a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 in the Black Ghost, with 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque. It also uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the car’s performance character is very much about relentless straight-line power.
• Safety package: The Black Ghost has traction and stability control, a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable on the SRT Hellcat Redeye and, by extension, the Black Ghost.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 4 touchscreen measures 8.4 inches, and it includes wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming audio, and a one-year SiriusXM trial. Black Ghost models also add navigation and a Harman Kardon premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy is poor, with combined driving consumption reaching up to 15.4 L/100 km, and the test loop returned 15 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger is offered in 2 trim levels: SXT and Black Ghost.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point if you want the Challenger’s styling and everyday usability at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you care more about the car’s presence and basic practicality than about the special-edition hardware and luxury touches found higher up.
• Black Ghost: This is the standout choice if you want the most distinctive and most desirable version described here. It adds the premium interior materials, retro-themed exterior details, and the full high-output performance character that defines this final-year model.

The safety content also makes clear that advanced driver-assistance features are limited, so you should not expect a broad safety-tech upgrade as you move up the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 132 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,486 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $57,289 CAD sits slightly below last year's $69,510 CAD.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may pressure future resale returns if you purchase near the current average. For a seller, the softer trend means you may need to price competitively to attract attention, especially if your car is not a rare or especially well-equipped example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger earns favourable ratings only in two outdated frontal- and side-impact tests from IIHS, and NHTSA gives the car high marks, though its crash-test standards have not been updated in over a decade.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

The Challenger’s safety equipment is limited. The test car had a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable on the SRT Hellcat Redeye and, by extension, the Black Ghost.

That means you should treat this as a performance-first car with a thin safety net, especially if you plan to drive it in traffic or in poor weather.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is a final-year model with special-edition “Last Call” variants and a clear emphasis on old-school muscle-car character.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive, farewell-year version of the Challenger, the 2023 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you can still find value in the used market, but you should focus on condition, equipment, and whether the car has the features you actually want, since advanced safety tech is limited.
