Used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 12.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 298 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns a 4.91/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its features, comfort, and driving dynamics, with particular appreciation for the heated seats, safety technology, and spaciousness. That lines up well with its role as an entry-level small SUV that aims to be practical, stylish, and easy to live with.

The main trade-offs are its irritating transmission and the fact that advanced safety features are not standard. It also fits best if you want a well-equipped, affordable subcompact crossover rather than a performance-focused SUV.

With 29.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still a decent amount of market value to be found.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.91/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free in everyday use, with buyers especially valuing its comfort and useful features. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing the Trailblazer as a practical, easy-to-live-with small SUV with a strong value proposition.

Chevrolet backs it with a three-year, 60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk.

For used buyers, the main long-term concern is less about outright durability and more about whether the transmission behaviour and fuel economy will suit your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the most basic version, while the LT adds more flexibility, and the Activ and RS bring more distinctive styling. The base trim misses some of the visual and equipment upgrades that make the higher trims feel more polished.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, or an optional 1.3-litre turbo-three with 155 hp and 174 lb-ft. Front-wheel-drive models use a CVT, while all-wheel-drive models use a nine-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Optional features include blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 8-inch touchscreen, 4.2-inch instrument cluster screen, navigation, Bose audio, rear-seat USB ports, and wireless charging are optional.
• Fuel efficiency: NRCan ratings are 8.0 L/100 km city, 7.6 highway, and 7.8 combined for the 1.2-litre FWD model, 8.1 city, 7.2 highway, and 7.7 combined for the 1.3-litre FWD model, and 8.9 city, 7.8 highway, and 8.4 combined for the 1.3-litre AWD model.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Trailblazer lineup. It gives you the core small-SUV package, but you’ll want to step up if you care about more equipment or a more distinctive look.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it opens the door to more configuration choices, including the 1.3-litre engine and AWD. It’s the trim to target if you want the Trailblazer’s strengths without paying for the more style-driven versions.
• Activ: Choose this if you want the more rugged appearance and the model-specific tuning. It adds a faux skid plate look, roof rails, and chunkier tires, and it suits buyers who want a more adventurous vibe.
• RS: Pick this if you prefer the sportier styling treatment, with blacked-out trim, a mesh grille, and dual exhaust outlets. It’s the right choice if appearance matters most to you.

The safety package is strong overall, but note that some advanced driver-assistance features remain optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 298 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $24,003 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $24,264 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,662 CAD.

That price decline suggests the Trailblazer has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it harder for future sellers to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or lightly used. The current market also shows a fairly tight spread between the year-round low and high, which points to a model that still has a defined value band.

For sellers, that means condition, trim, and equipment will matter a lot when you go to list it. Well-kept examples with desirable features should still attract attention, but the softer market means you may need to price competitively.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA, including five-star ratings in the frontal and side crash-test categories and a four-star rating in rollover testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Optional driver-assistance features include blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

One caveat is that the standard halogen headlights were rated only Average by the IIHS, while the optional LED headlights scored Good.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines stylish design, easy-to-use technology, and strong value in an entry-level SUV package.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,037 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,264 CAD average.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and extra paint choices.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,063 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $24,264 CAD average.
• It offers a more polished all-around package with more passenger and cargo space.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the sweet spot if you want the best mix of price, satisfaction, and equipment. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look; if you want a slightly more refined package and can spend more, the 2024 is the better step up.
