Is the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Drivers most often praise its spaciousness, smooth ride, and powerful performance, and the family-friendly feature set also comes through clearly in owner feedback. That lines up well with its role as a full-size SUV for families who need strong utility, cargo flexibility, and towing capability. With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also suggests the Tahoe is dependable in the ways that matter to used buyers, with praise centred on its smooth ride, strong performance, and overall family usefulness. That kind of feedback is encouraging if you want a large SUV you can count on for regular use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly, since a large SUV like this can become costly if deferred maintenance has piled up.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 134 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $69,412 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $70,814 CAD sits slightly below last year's $73,599 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tahoe has softened a bit, which can make it easier for you to buy now, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. The current range still shows healthy demand, especially for a full-size SUV with strong utility and family appeal. If you keep mileage, condition, and maintenance records in good shape, you should be better positioned to protect value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a full-size SUV with strong space, towing ability, and broad family appeal, the 2023 Tahoe is the primary year to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years for a lower entry point, but the 2023 still offers a good balance of market value and owner approval.
