Used 2023 Chevrolet Malibu for Sale nearKelowna, BC

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu cost?

Prices have softened 13.34% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 256 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner approval. It is a roomy, value-focused midsize sedan with a comfortable cabin and easy-to-use features, and it remains appealing because it is cheaper than many rivals. Its straightforward technology and generous space make it a practical choice if you want a familiar family sedan rather than a more expensive alternative. With 27.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Malibu is described as having the Malibu’s strongest reliability record among front-wheel-drive generations, and it was known for generating far fewer owner complaints than earlier versions. That makes it a reassuring pick if you want a used sedan with a reputation for fewer headaches than older Malibus. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about reliability and more about whether the car’s plain driving character and missing polish will suit your expectations over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Malibu?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 256 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,114 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu's resale value?

The current average of $21,137 CAD sits slightly below last year's $24,390 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Malibu has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the softer market means you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if similar listings remain plentiful. The model’s value-focused reputation can help keep it relevant with budget-minded shoppers, but resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 Malibu makes the most sense if you want a roomy, value-oriented midsize sedan and you find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may also be worth comparing, but the 2023 is the better primary target when you want a familiar formula, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal potential.
