There are 143 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and the expert rating is 7.2/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the sporty design, comfort, power, roomy interior, and quiet ride. That lines up well with the Blazer’s use case as a road-focused midsize crossover that prioritises style and everyday comfort over ruggedness.

The main trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and advanced safety features that are not standard. Even so, the model’s distinctive styling and practical cabin make it a strong fit if you want a modern SUV with personality.

With 30.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a reasonable chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the Blazer’s comfort and everyday usability. The expert assessment also supports that impression by describing it as a competent, well-rounded crossover rather than a vehicle with obvious weak spots.

Chevrolet’s three-year, 60,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty provide average coverage for a mainstream brand.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher-mileage examples may show the usual wear associated with a vehicle that leans more on style and comfort than simplicity.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Blazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the entry point, while higher trims add more upscale materials and equipment. Cloth seats are standard, leather upholstery is available on higher trim levels, and all models get dual-zone automatic climate control.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 228 horsepower on the LT, while a 3.6-litre V6 with 308 hp is optional on LT and standard on the other trim levels. Both use a nine-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is standard in Canada.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian braking, a following distance indicator, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver monitoring. Adaptive cruise control is available on all trim levels, but some other driver aids remain optional.
• Infotainment: A 10.2-inch touchscreen is standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio. RS and Premier add an 8-inch instrument display, built-in navigation, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The base four-cylinder is rated at 10.8 L/100 km city, 8.7 highway, and 9.9 combined. The V6 is rated at 12.6 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway, and 11.0 combined.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Blazer trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer is offered in 4 trim levels: LT, True North, Premier, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value-focused starting point if you want the Blazer’s style and standard tech without stretching the budget. It gets the 2.0-litre turbo engine, the standard 10.2-inch touchscreen, and Chevy Safety Assist, while the V6 remains optional.
• True North: This trim makes sense if you want a step up in equipment without jumping straight to the top end. It can be a good middle ground for shoppers who want more comfort and available tech features.
• Premier: This is the better choice if you want a more upscale feel and the stronger standard equipment set, including the V6 and the higher-end tech presentation.
• RS: This is the most style-forward choice, with the sportiest appearance and the most premium-feeling presentation. It suits you best if design and a richer feature set matter more than value.

Adaptive cruise control is available on all trim levels, but it was previously limited to higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Blazer?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 143 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.86% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,037 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer's resale value?

The current average of $31,385 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,608 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Blazer has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more competition if supply stays healthy. If you own one, condition, trim, and equipment level will matter more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer safe?

The 2023 Blazer earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover testing. The IIHS gave it its highest Good rating in all six crash-test categories, plus Superior and Advanced ratings for front-crash prevention.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, a following distance indicator, and Teen Driver monitoring. Adaptive cruise control is available on all trim levels, while blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, a 360-degree camera system, rear camera mirror, and a Safety Alert vibrating driver seat are optional.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the range, and the Blazer does not offer GM’s Super Cruise system.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 update adds a new 10.2-inch touchscreen and broader availability of wireless charging.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,242 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,385 CAD average.
• It is a sporty, road-focused crossover with practical cargo space.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the updated tech and a better chance of finding a deal. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you can live without the newer equipment.
