How much does the 2023 Audi Q5 cost?

Prices have softened 18.32% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 410 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2023 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Audi Q5 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its luxurious feel, advanced technology, stylish design, and comfortable interior. The Q5 also stands out for its smooth performance and quiet cabin, which make it easy for you to live with day to day.

The main trade-off is sluggish initial acceleration, so it is not the quickest choice when you pull away from a stop. It also asks you to accept premium-fuel running costs, which may matter if you drive a lot.

For you, that means the Q5 makes the most sense if you want a premium small SUV that prioritises refinement, comfort, and technology over outright pace. With 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Q5’s luxurious feel, smooth performance, and comfortable interior. The sturdy build quality also supports the impression that this is a vehicle you can count on over time.

The Q5’s standard equipment and solid engineering should help it age well if it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is more about running costs than basic dependability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Audi Q5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Q5 comes with leather seating, heated front seats, a 10-inch touchscreen, and standard all-wheel drive, while higher trims add features such as a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, a virtual cockpit, and more advanced driver assistance. If you want the best value, look closely at the mid-range trim because it adds a good amount of tech and safety equipment.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 201 horsepower, a 261 hp version, or a plug-in hybrid with 362 hp and an estimated 37 km of electric-only range. The standard setup includes a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: The Q5 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Higher trims add lane-keep assist, a surround-view camera system, traffic jam assist, matrix-design LED headlights, a head-up display, semi-automated park assist, and a traffic sign reader.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and remote app functions. Higher trims add a customizable digital instrument panel, and the system can be a little slow to boot up.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-litre engine is rated at 10.2 L/100 km in the city, 8.2 on the highway, and 9.3 combined. The higher-output engine is rated at 10.6 L/100 km city, 8.2 highway, and 9.5 combined. The plug-in hybrid is rated at 9.0 L/100 km combined once the battery is depleted.

Which 2023 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Audi Q5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Komfort, Progressiv, Technik.

Here's the short version:

• Komfort: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q5 experience with standard all-wheel drive, leather seating, heated front seats, and the 10.1-inch touchscreen. It suits you if you want the least expensive way into the model, but it is the trim most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• Progressiv: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds a good amount of tech and safety equipment, including lane-keep assist, a surround-view camera system, traffic jam assist, and the virtual cockpit. If you want the sweet spot between price and features, this is the trim to target.
• Technik: This is the most fully equipped version, adding matrix-design LED headlights, a head-up display, semi-automated park assist, and a traffic sign reader. It makes sense if you want the most advanced Q5 and are willing to pay more for it.

Rear-seat side impact airbags are offered as an option on all trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 410 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,097 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $34,097 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,743 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Q5 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you are planning to sell soon. If prices stay soft, future sellers may need to be more competitive to attract attention.

The Q5’s premium image, strong equipment list, and broad appeal should help support demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Audi Q5 safe?

The 2023 Audi Q5 was awarded five out of five stars for overall, frontal, and side protection from NHTSA, and it earned the IIHS's highest score of "Good" in all crashworthiness tests, along with a Top Safety Pick+ rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors. Higher trims add lane-keep assist, a surround-view camera system, traffic jam assist, matrix-design LED headlights, a head-up display, semi-automated park assist, and a traffic sign reader.

One thing to note is that rear-seat side impact airbags are only offered as an option, so you may want to check whether a used example has them fitted.

Should I buy a 2023 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines a quiet cabin, standard all-wheel drive, and a strong mix of comfort and technology.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped luxury SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-market price, the 2023 Q5 is the better path to start with. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can wait for a lower-priced listing, but the current market already gives you a decent amount of choice.
