Used 2023 Acura RDX for Sale nearWoodbridge, ON

How much does the 2023 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 9.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 195 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX a good car?

It is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a luxury SUV that leans more toward value than novelty. The user rating is 3/5, and our experts rate it 6.17/10.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The 2023 Acura RDX stands out as a relative bargain that still does not skimp on luxury. It can compete against newer rivals thanks to its strong performance, high levels of comfort, and comparatively accessible price. The trade-off is its unintuitive technology, especially the infotainment interface, which may take some getting used to.

It is a good fit if you want a premium-feeling compact SUV that is fun to drive and comfortable without paying top-tier money. The market also shows 27.2% of listings as good or great deals, which supports its value-oriented appeal.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX reliable?

The 2023 Acura RDX comes across as a well-sorted luxury SUV with strong safety credentials and a powertrain that feels more than adequate for daily use. Our experts describe it as fun to drive, comfortable, and backed by great safety ratings.

The 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, and the transmission does an excellent job of selecting the right gear. The brake pedal is reassuringly firm, and the AWD system provides abundant traction. The performance notes also point to a broad range of capability, easy drivability, and a comfortable ride.

On the ownership side, the RDX does not offer a more fuel-efficient or more powerful engine option, so there is no real mechanical upgrade path within the model line. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about living with the technology and choosing the right trim than chasing a different powertrain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Acura RDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin uses a vertical layout with a 10.2-inch infotainment display, physical climate controls, and a digital centre display with analog gauges. The base setup is not as modern-looking as some rivals, so you should check whether the equipment level feels rich enough for you.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard SH-AWD. There is no alternative engine choice, so the driving character is consistent across the range.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, rain-sensing wipers, and front and rear parking sensors. The Platinum Elite A-Spec package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The system uses a touchpad controller with a 10.2-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto help make it easier to use, and the vehicle includes Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, remote monitoring and control via the Acuralink smartphone app, and a 16-speaker ELS Studio premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates consumption at 11.3 L/100 km in the city, 9.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Acura RDX is offered in 2 trim levels: RDX A-Spec and Platinum Elite A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

• RDX A-Spec: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the core RDX experience: standard SH-AWD, the 2.0-litre turbo engine, the 10-speed automatic, and the full safety suite. It is the best-value choice if you want the RDX’s performance and comfort without stretching for extras.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This trim adds the most desirable upgrades, including adaptive dampers, a surround-view camera system, and a head-up display. It suits you best if you want the most complete version of the RDX and are willing to pay for convenience and refinement.

The Platinum Elite A-Spec package includes the surround-view camera system and head-up display, so it is the trim to target if those features matter to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 195 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,988 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $42,018 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,379 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RDX has become more approachable for used buyers, which can help demand stay healthy. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year's average. For a future seller, the key will be how well the vehicle is equipped and maintained, since the market is already pricing in some depreciation.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX safe?

The 2023 Acura RDX earns five-star ratings for overall and side crash protection, and four-star ratings for frontal and rollover protection from NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it its highest score of good across the board and named it a Top Safety Pick+.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, rain-sensing wipers, and front and rear parking sensors. The Platinum Elite A-Spec package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.

One caveat is that the lane-keep assist can tug against your hands in gentle curves, so it may feel better suited to straight highway driving than to winding roads.

Should I buy a 2023 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.40% compared with last year.
• It offers strong performance, high comfort, and a comparatively accessible price.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,263 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $42,018 CAD average.
• It is a compact luxury SUV with a standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine and standard-in-Canada AWD.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger value proposition and are comfortable with its technology quirks. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the better price-first alternative.
