How much does the 2023 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 8.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 206 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX a good car?

The 2023 Acura RDX is a strong fit if you want a premium compact SUV that balances comfort, performance, and value, though its technology takes some getting used to. It earns 3/5 from users and 6.2/10 from our experts.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

It stands out as a relative bargain in the luxury-SUV space, with strong performance, high levels of comfort, and a price that undercuts some newer rivals. The main trade-off is the infotainment system, which is unintuitive and can be frustrating until you learn it.

With 27.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful shopping opportunity if you are patient.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX reliable?

The 2023 Acura RDX presents itself as a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong performance and a comfortable ride, and our experts note that its systems work as advertised.

The powertrain is described as responsive and more than adequate for most drivers, while the transmission does an excellent job of selecting the right gear. The ride and handling balance also suggest a vehicle that should feel composed in everyday use.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to average fuel consumption for the class, which helps keep ownership expectations realistic. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about living with the infotainment interface over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Acura RDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin has a distinctive vertical layout, a 10.2-inch infotainment display, and a more conventional interior design than some rivals. Base versions do not get the Platinum Elite A-Spec package’s surround-view camera system or head-up display, so you should check whether the features you want are included.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard in Canada, and there is no more fuel-efficient or more powerful engine option.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, rain-sensing wipers, and front and rear parking sensors. The Platinum Elite A-Spec package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The system uses a touchpad controller with a 10.2-inch display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto help make it easier to use. Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, remote monitoring and control via the Acuralink smartphone app, and a 16-speaker ELS Studio premium audio system are standard in Canada.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates fuel consumption at 11.3 L/100 km in the city, 9.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Acura RDX is offered in 1 trim level: RDX A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

The RDX A-Spec is the trim to focus on if you want the core RDX experience, including the standard turbocharged engine, standard AWD, and the model’s strong comfort and performance balance. It is the only trim explicitly identified here, so your decision is less about choosing between versions and more about deciding whether the RDX’s overall package suits you.

The Platinum Elite A-Spec package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display, so it is worth seeking out if those features matter to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 206 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.63% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,885 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $42,112 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,088 CAD.

That decline suggests the RDX has become a bit easier to buy than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you should expect resale values to reflect a softer market rather than a strong appreciation story.

If you buy now, the current pricing may help offset some depreciation risk. If you sell later, the key will be keeping the vehicle in strong condition and staying realistic about market movement.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX safe?

The 2023 Acura RDX earns Top Safety Pick+ honours from the IIHS and five-star ratings for overall and side crash protection from NHTSA, along with four-star ratings for frontal and rollover protection.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, rain-sensing wipers, and front and rear parking sensors. The Platinum Elite A-Spec package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.

The lane-keep assist can tug against your hands in gentle curves, so it is better suited to straight highway driving than to more winding roads.

Should I buy a 2023 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.63% compared with last year.
• It combines strong performance, high comfort, and a relatively affordable price.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,604 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $42,112 CAD average.
• It offers a broad trim walk and standard all-wheel drive in Canada.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market value story and the same core strengths that make the RDX appealing. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the better price-sensitive path.
