How much does the 2023 Acura RDX cost?

There are 200 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX a good car?

It is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a luxury SUV that balances comfort, performance, and value, even if the tech takes patience to master. The user rating is 3/5, and the expert rating is 6.17/10.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

It stands out as a relative bargain that still feels upscale, and it can compete with newer rivals thanks to its strong performance and high levels of comfort. The main trade-off is the infotainment system, which is unintuitive and can be frustrating at first.

With 28.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX reliable?

The 2023 Acura RDX is built around a proven turbocharged four-cylinder setup and standard all-wheel drive, which supports its everyday dependability. The expert assessment also points to strong performance, comfortable ride quality, and a powertrain that feels more than adequate for most drivers.

The engine and transmission are described as responsive and well matched, and the AWD system provides abundant traction. The cost-effectiveness notes also say there is no real fuel economy advantage between models because there are no alternative engine choices.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical complexity and more about living with the infotainment system and making sure the vehicle’s electronics and driver aids work properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Acura RDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin has a vertical layout with a 10.2-inch infotainment display, physical climate controls, and a digital centre display with analog gauges. Base versions do not include the surround-view camera system or head-up display that come with the Platinum Elite A-Spec package.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. In Canada, AWD is standard and FWD is not offered.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, rain-sensing wipers, and front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: The system uses a touchpad controller with a 10.2-inch display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto help make it easier to use. Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, remote monitoring and control via the Acuralink smartphone app, and a 16-speaker ELS Studio premium audio system are standard in Canada.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates consumption at 11.3 L/100 km in the city, 9.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Acura RDX is offered in 2 trim levels: RDX A-Spec and Platinum Elite A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

• RDX A-Spec: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the RDX’s core strengths without stretching to the top trim. You still get the standard turbocharged engine, SH-AWD, the 10-speed automatic, and the full safety suite.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the trim to choose if you want the most complete version of the RDX, including the surround-view camera system, head-up display, and adaptive dampers. It suits you best if you want the most comfort and convenience equipment.

The standard safety package is strong across the range, but the Platinum Elite A-Spec adds extra driver-assistance visibility and convenience features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 200 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,885 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $41,956 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,679 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RDX has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help demand in the short term. If you buy at the current average, you may have less immediate depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. For a future seller, the key will be how well the vehicle is maintained and whether it remains competitive against newer luxury crossovers.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX safe?

The 2023 Acura RDX earns Top Safety Pick+ recognition from IIHS and five-star ratings for overall and side crash protection from NHTSA, along with four-star ratings for frontal and rollover protection.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, rain-sensing wipers, and front and rear parking sensors. The Platinum Elite A-Spec package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.

The lane-keep assist can tug against your hands in gentle curves, so it may feel better suited to straight highway driving than to winding roads.

Should I buy a 2023 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• It offers strong performance, high comfort, and a relatively affordable luxury-SUV price.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,672 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $41,956 CAD average.
• It offers a broader trim walk and standard all-wheel drive in Canada.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger value proposition in today’s market and are comfortable with the infotainment learning curve. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the better price-sensitive alternative.
