Is the 2018 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.86/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the comfortable ride, luxurious interior, and strong performance, and many also value the advanced features and overall used-car value. For you, that makes the 2018 Acura RDX a sensible pick if you want a compact luxury SUV that prioritises comfort and practicality over a more aggressive driving character. With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers describing it as a vehicle they can count on over the long term. For used buyers, that kind of sentiment lowers the risk of unpleasant surprises and makes the RDX easier to recommend if you want something you can keep for years.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 175 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,392 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $20,477 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,799 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market if values continue to ease. If you buy now, the lower entry price can help offset some depreciation risk, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years. The current spread between the year-round low and high also shows that condition, mileage, and equipment should matter quite a bit when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Acura RDX makes the most sense if you want a comfortable, practical luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a price that has moved down from last year. If you are price-sensitive, the 2018 is worth a close look because the market is offering some deal opportunities; if you want a more modern-feeling alternative, you may also want to compare nearby years before deciding.
