How much does the 2022 Subaru Impreza cost?

Prices have softened 13.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 54 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Generally — the 4.33/5 user rating points to a car that fits well if you want a practical compact model with standard all-wheel drive and a strong safety focus. The 2022 Impreza is positioned as Subaru’s entry point, and its appeal comes from everyday usefulness rather than flash. Standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a comfortable drive, and broad mainstream usability make it a sensible choice if you value all-weather confidence and a well-equipped compact car.

That said, the same overview also makes clear that this is not the Impreza for buyers chasing a sporty edge, since the performance emphasis is gone and the manual transmission was phased out. If you want a practical, easy-to-live-with compact car, it fits the brief well. The market shows 33.3% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Impreza’s reliability appeal comes from its straightforward role as a practical compact car with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a comfort-first everyday character. Subaru’s long-running value focus and the model’s strong safety emphasis support its reputation as a sensible used buy. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about complexity and more about making sure you choose a well-kept example that has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find a decent example.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 54 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,829 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $20,262 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,327 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of being upside down later. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Impreza with standard all-wheel drive, broad everyday usefulness, and a price that has come down from last year, the 2022 is a strong primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced example offers similar value, but the 2022 remains the safer pick when you want the balance of features, usability, and market support.
