How much does the 2022 Porsche Cayenne cost?

There are 124 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne stands out because it blends Porsche-style performance with the practicality of a midsize SUV. It sits in a third-generation Cayenne family that was described as more powerful, more efficient, and more advanced than its predecessors, while still keeping the familiar Cayenne character.

What makes the 2022 model especially appealing is the breadth of equipment and performance on offer. The base Cayenne used a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 with 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while the Cayenne S stepped up to a twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 with 434 hp and 406 lb-ft. The GTS brought a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 with 453 hp and 457 lb-ft, plus a sports exhaust system and torque vectoring for improved handling and traction. Buyers could also find features such as Porsche Active Suspension Management, a panoramic sunroof, and the Sport Chrono package.

There are trade-offs, though. The Cayenne was described as expensive with few standard features, limited cargo capacity, and pricey maintenance. Even so, it remains attractive if you want a luxury SUV with strong performance, a refined interior, and sturdy construction. 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne is presented as a well-built luxury SUV with sturdy construction and a refined interior. It also sits in a mature phase of the third-generation Cayenne family, which helps reinforce the sense that you are looking at a developed, polished model rather than an early redesign.

The same strengths that make it appealing also come with ownership considerations: Porsche maintenance and repairs were noted as notoriously expensive, and the Cayenne was described as pricey to maintain. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about the cost of keeping the vehicle in top condition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Cayenne?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 124 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.82% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $68,252 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $69,608 CAD sits slightly below last year's $74,706 CAD.

For a future seller, that softer pricing trend suggests the market has moved in buyers' favour for now. If you own one, strong condition and desirable equipment should matter more when it comes time to sell. A well-kept Cayenne with the right trim and options may hold up better than a more basic example, but the current market still points to some pressure on resale values.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.82% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2022 Cayenne is the right choice if you want a mature, well-developed version of Porsche's performance SUV with a strong mix of power, refinement, and practicality. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2022 remains a compelling target when you find a clean example at the right price.
