Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a compact luxury SUV. It leans into comfort, practicality, and a polished premium feel, with standard 4Matic all-wheel drive in Canada and a well-equipped cabin that includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, leatherette upholstery, LED headlights, and driver assistance features. It is also a good fit if you want a smooth daily driver with a broad range of powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid, while AMG versions add a performance-focused option. The market shows 35.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 GLC is described as having a mixed reputation on the ownership side, and it does not have a standout reliability record. Recent Mercedes-Benz models have also done little to improve the brand’s mid-table standing in independent customer satisfaction and reliability surveys. For used buyers, that means you should pay close attention to service history and maintenance records to reduce long-term ownership risk.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 354 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.46% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,186 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $38,186 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,621 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the GLC more attractive to you as a buyer today but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay under pressure. On the other hand, the model’s premium image and broad appeal can help support demand when it is time to resell. Well-equipped examples in strong condition should remain easier to move than stripped or poorly maintained ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $34,727 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $38,186 CAD average.
• It blends performance, refinement, and comfort with broad appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,749 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $38,186 CAD average.
• It brings a more polished interior and stronger everyday refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, equipment, and premium feel, the 2022 is the sensible primary choice. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you want the newer cabin and can stretch your budget.
