Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is positioned as a compact luxury car that leans heavily into style and technology, with a premium feel and a comfortable, practical cabin. That makes it a good fit if you want an upscale small car that prioritises polish and everyday usability over outright driving excitement. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA is described as having a reliability record that is not great, so you should approach used examples with a careful inspection and a complete service history. Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you focus on value.

• Deal availability: 44.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 78 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.22% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $36,345 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

The current average of $37,922 CAD sits slightly above last year's $37,464 CAD.

That year-over-year increase suggests the CLA has held its value reasonably well in the near term. If you buy now and keep the car in good condition, the current pricing trend points to steady demand rather than a softening market. For a future seller, that can help support a more predictable resale outcome, especially if the car has strong equipment and a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 44.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.22% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a compact luxury car with a premium feel, strong equipment, and a comfort-first personality, the 2022 CLA is the better path. If you are especially price-sensitive, a different year may be worth considering, but the 2022 still offers a solid mix of demand, inventory, and owner approval.
